IKEA Showroom Visualizations – Small Office Solutions
Project 1: A Home Office for a Modern Consultant
This 3D showroom concept was designed to showcase an IKEA TROTTEN adjustable-height desk, offering flexibility for professionals working remotely. The scene represents an employee working from home as a consultant or call center agent for a small aviation company in Canada. The design highlights how ergonomic IKEA furniture can enhance productivity, comfort, and adaptability in any workspace—whether in Toronto, Calgary, or Vancouver.
The layout incorporates the ALEX drawer unit, providing sleek storage for office essentials, and a MATCHSPEL ergonomic chair, ensuring comfort during long work hours. The EKET wall-mounted shelves add functionality without taking up floor space, while a TÄRNABY adjustable desk lamp enhances task lighting. The green accent wall and aviation-inspired decor reinforce the idea that this setup can fit anywhere a business needs to operate. The tagline "Adjust the height of your business" reinforces the desk’s versatility, supporting both seated and standing workstyles.
Project 2: A Study Space for a Young Learner
The second project involved designing a small home office setup for an eight-year-old boy, focusing on creating an engaging and practical study environment. The setup features an IKEA MICKE desk, known for its compact size, built-in cable management, and extra storage. Accompanying the desk is a LÄKTARE swivel chair, designed for both comfort and mobility.
To encourage organization, the design incorporates KALLAX cube storage units, which allow for both open and closed shelving—perfect for books, homework supplies, and personal items. The vibrant blue and orange color scheme, along with a custom skateboard-themed mural, adds a sense of energy and fun, aligning with IKEA’s approach to youthful, adaptable spaces. The FORSÅ adjustable desk lamp provides directed lighting for study sessions.
Design Approach & Impact
Both projects emphasize IKEA’s core principles—affordability, functionality, and maximizing space efficiency. Whether for a remote-working professional or a young student, these showroom concepts demonstrate how thoughtful IKEA designs can turn small areas into highly functional and inspiring workspaces. By focusing on ergonomics, adjustability, and smart storage solutions, these setups illustrate how IKEA furniture seamlessly fits different lifestyles while maintaining an aesthetic appeal.
